This Shit Is Medicinal

It's not often that we post a couple of US artists, it's so easy to get immersed in Europe and forget the rest of the world exists. We once tried to compile a piece about house music in Micronesia but research proved to be harder than you'd think - for now enjoy these fine Yankee offerings.

I'm not a cat person, kittens are cute but that's where the buck stops, although that's not to imply I prefer canines. One four-legged creature however I've been happy for a while to make a huge exception for is Hidden Cat. Hailing from North Carolina, Madison Bullard makes music so smooth and sweet his neighbours just South of the border started frequenting Pride parades. Bullard cemented his name as a serious player with his remix of Sinichi Osawa in late '10 and just this week he dropped a couple of brand new remixes - his take on Crystal Fighters  is fucking amazing.

Wild Beasts - Hooting And Howling (Hidden Cat Remix) .mp3

Their name is on everyone's lips post DJ-Kicks, and they continue to live up to the reputation they have crafted for themselves. Hailing from Boston, Soul Clap dropped this remix on their mix with Wolf & Lamb and it hit shelves mid-March. This track absolutely drives and it has a killer bass - if you weren't a Soul Clap fan before, let this be your Christening.
