From Russia With Love | Timofey

Earlier in the year, Patricia became infatuated with a mix the Moscow based duo Acos CoolKAs did for Superlax's Leningradsky Disco Klub podcast series. Turns out this podcast series which has previously enlisted the talents of Horse Meat Disco, Max Essa and Permanent Vacation to name a few, is run by a man who might as well be Russia's less nasally namesake answer to Tim Sweeny - Timofey Smirnov.

For the past couple of years, under his brand Superlax, Timofey has ensured that almost everyone worth having has been up to play a set in either Saint Petersburg or Moscow; just last weekend Terje played at Dom Beat and Denis Simachev, this week Who Made Who plays Solyanka. What's more, Timofey has used his clout to throw support behind the likes of local talents An-2, Simple Symmetry, Lipelis and the aforementioned Acos CoolKAs, helping nurture the country's blossoming  indie-disco/electronica scene. Down here we've become pretty fascinated by what's been going on musically in Russia of late, so we asked Tim to take some time out of his hectic schedule (he's about to become a dad) to make us a mix.
